Did you know that the ya'll known and love Flappy Bird from the 2k era is now back? Yes! It is now back from the stores after several years of hiatus, the publisher announced it on the post on X.
I AM BACK!!

Just a decade ago, I was the talk of the town and soaring to new heights with my 100 million friends. Sadly, I had to leave the fame and spotlight behind to go home and find out who I really am.
Thanks to my super Flappy Bird® fans, I’m refreshed, reinvigorated,… pic.twitter.com/b4UaFZQA2r
But sadly, this announcement was cut short because there is a drama circulating for this matter.
It appears that Dong Nguyen, a Vietnamese programmer and the original developer of the game didn't create the new Flappy Bird, and Gametech Studios just acquired the trademark on the game for absolutely free of charge.
Some people on X are calling those tweets on the original post shocking, but some people are calling out Gametech Studios for grabbing the IP without paying the royalties to the original creator.
🤣🤣true.

I find the fixation on the 'IP' so odd. It's not trying to conjure anything meaningful, Nguyen isn't involved, and arguably the original game was itself a ripoff.

The 'value' being presented here is a paper-thin "remember when 2014 happened"
I think Gametech LLC would like to see this https://t.co/YF6N74Kjz5

So I want to ask to you on your part, is it good on how this game will revive, or it is something that should leave from the past before Dong Nguyen released it again in public?
